Unveiling the Community Fish mosaic

Good fun was had by all at the Community Mosaics on the Bath Grounds on Sunday 29th May 2016, during the Ashby Arts Festival weekend.

A professional mosaic artist instructed on the art of mosaics and people helped create a large fish mosaic commemorating Ashby Castle’s fishponds, which were once located on the Bath Grounds and neighbouring Bullen’s Field. The fish mosaic has been incorporated into the new Bath Grounds Heritage Trail which was also being installed this year.

People also got a chance to make a souvenir mosaic coaster to take home.
